Place a SIPRelay call to a deaf individual
Hearing customers can place SIPRelay calls to deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals by dialing their 10-digit local or toll-free number—the call will connect to the CA and deaf recipient automatically. Hearing users can also place calls by dialing the toll-free number 1-866-SIPRelay (1-866-747-7352) and giving the AIM Screen Name of the deaf individual to the Communications Assistant (CA), who will then connect the call. When the deaf individual is logged in to AIM on either their mobile device or their PC, they will receive a message alerting them of an incoming SIPRelay call.

If there is no answer, the hearing caller can decide to leave a message as long as the deaf person is still logged in to AIM. They will receive the message the next time they are available.
