There are two different methods to place a SIPRelay call from either a PC or a mobile device. Follow the directions below to connect to a Sorenson CA.
Method 1
Personal Computer (PC):
- Go to www.siprelay.com and click on the "Place a SIPRelay Call Now" button.
- Type the area code and telephone number of the person you wish to call and then click the "connect" button.
- A Sorenson CA will answer your call to relay the conversation.
Place a Voice Carry Over (VCO) Call:
- Type the phone number of the person you wish to call in the Enter phone number to dial field.
- Type your phone number in the Enter VCO phone number field.
- Click the Connect button.
The Sorenson CA will call you through the VCO number, then connect to the person you want to talk to and relay the conversation.
Method 2
AIM on a PC or Compatible Mobile Device
- Open AIM on your PC or compatible mobile device* and add "SIPRelay" to your buddy list.
- Send an Instant Message (IM) to SIPRelay.
- Enter the number of the person you wish to call and follow the instructions we send to begin your call.
- A Sorenson CA will answer the call and relay the conversation.
*Mobile devices must be equipped with a wireless service plan that includes data and/or text-messaging capabilities. Mobile devices must have compatible AIM software installed. Additional charges from your wireless service provider may apply. See your provider for details.
