Saving Chat Messages

The SIPRelay Mobile for BlackBerry (SIPRelay Mobile) application allows you to save your Chat messages so you can view the contents of these messages at your convenience. The saved Chat will contain the name or number of the person you called, the time of the call, and the entire contents of the call.  You may also e-mail the Chat.

 Saving Chat Messages

To save your messages to be read later you must choose the Save call text selection on the Options screen.

To choose the "Save call text" selection:

  1. Navigate to the Options screen using the Menu key.

  2. Highlight and then place a check in the Save call text check box.

  3. Select the Save button and then press the Trackball .

With the "Save call text" option selected, all calls will now be automatically saved.

 

 

 Viewing Chat Messages

With the chat messages saved, you can review your messages at a later time.

Messages that are saved will have a Saved Chat icon beside the number. This is shown in the image to the right.

To view your chat messages:

  1. Select the saved message. The message will then be highlighted.

 

 

 

  1. Press the Thumbwheel and select the "View Chat" option from the pop-up menu.

 

 

  1. The saved message is then displayed.
    The name or number of the person you were having a conversation with, the time of the call and the entire contents of the call will be displayed.


 

 

 

E-mailing Chat Messages

You can e-mail your Chat messages to any valid e-mail address. You must have a working e-mail address for your BlackBerry 7200 Wireless Handheld™ to use this feature.

To e-mail your chat messages:

  1. Open the message that you want to e-mail.

 

 

  1. Press the Thumbwheel and select the "Email Chat" option from the pop-up menu.

 

 

  1. Enter the e-mail address that you want to send the chat message to in the Email address field.

  2. Select the OK button.
