Creating an AIM Away Message

When you are logged in to AIM but are away from your computer or mobile device, your hearing associates can still leave you a message.

To receive messages, you must first be logged into AIM and have the "Away" message feature turned on. See the example to the right.

AIM User's Away Status is On

When you receive a call, the SIPRelay CA will see that you cannot accept the call because of your Away message. See the example to the right.

The SIPRelay CA will then tell the hearing caller that,

"The line is busy, would you like to leave a message?"

The hearing caller may then leave a brief message if they choose to do so. See the example to the right.
