The following are frequently asked questions (FAQs) and answers about SIPRelay.


Who can use SIPRelay?

SIPRelay is designed for deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals who wish to communicate from anywhere in the US or its territories, at anytime with a mobile device and/or personal computer (PC).


How do I get a local 10-digit number to use with SIPRelay?

Customers must be registered with mySorenson before they are able use SIPRelay. Please visit www.mysorenson.com to create an account. Once your account is created, you will receive a free local 10-digit number. You will also be able to make and receive SIPRelay calls.


How much does SIPRelay cost?

SIPRelay is a free service provided to the deaf and hard-of-hearing.


Can I complete 900 number pay-per-calls through SIPRelay?

No. SIPRelay does not accept 900-number calls.


Can I complete Spanish calls through SIPRelay?

Yes. SIPRelay can process Spanish-to-Spanish relay calls; simply say "Espanol" when you reach a Communications Assistant (CA) to be transferred to a Spanish-speaking CA or use SIPRelay Mobile and select Espanol in the options menu of the application.


Can I place an international call?

No. SIPRelay does not accept international calls.
